About this service

Most handyman calls don't get returned. Or they do, weeks later, with a vague price and a flexible time window. We don't run that way - if the project is real, you get a real quote in 48 hours and a start date you can hold us to.

We handle the punch list of small projects most contractors won't touch: drywall holes, sticking doors, broken fixtures, paint touch-ups, small carpentry, light tile repair, faucet swaps. The same crew that does our full remodels handles repairs - so you get the same quality at the scale of what you actually need.

Working in East Village or one of nine other Manhattan cities? We’ve done handyman work in all of them. Curious how we run a job site? Read our story.

Honest Pricing

What does a handyman cost in East Village?

Typical Range

$200 minimum visit – $5,000+ multi-day

Minimum visit is $200, which usually covers 60-90 minutes of skilled work plus basic materials. Most punch-list visits land in the $300-$800 range. Multi-day projects (full painting, larger repairs) are quoted as fixed-price packages. We don't bill by the hour - you get a number before we start.

From the founders

Handyman work has a reputation problem - mostly because most handymen run their business out of a notebook in a truck. We run it like every other contracting job: written quotes, scheduled windows, clean job sites. No different from a kitchen remodel, just smaller.

Amazing work. Quick, responsive, great results. My fridge broke and the leak damaged the wood floor around it. They suggested replacing the wood with porcelain tile in the wet area and it turned out beautifully — and protects against a future leak. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

FAQ

Questions East Village homeowners ask before booking

Is there a minimum charge for a handyman visit?
Yes - $200 minimum, which usually covers 60-90 minutes of skilled work plus basic materials. If you have a small job, we'll often suggest stacking a few items to get the most out of the visit.
Do you give written quotes for small jobs?
Yes. Every job gets a fixed-price written quote before we start - including small repairs. We don't bill by the hour and we don't add 'discovery' charges later. The quote is the price.
How quickly can you come out?
Most repair calls get scheduled within 3-5 business days. Same-week is usually possible if the job is well-defined. Emergency calls (flooding, broken doors) get same-day response when we have crew available.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Licensed by the State of New York and fully insured (general liability + workers' comp). Both certificates are available before any work starts - just ask.
Do you do plumbing or electrical?
We do basic fixture-level plumbing and electrical (faucet swaps, replacing existing fixtures and outlets). For rough-in work or anything requiring opening walls, we work alongside our licensed plumbers and electricians on permitted projects.
What's the difference between you and a handyman service?
We're a general contractor that also does small jobs. Our handyman work is staffed by people who do full kitchen and bath remodels. Same standards: clean sites, written quotes, fixed prices. Slightly more expensive than independent handymen - and the work is done once, properly.
